Lindo uses Stripe coupons and promotion codes. You create them in Stripe, then enable discount-code collection on the products that should accept them.

Create a coupon in Stripe

  1. Open your website in the editor
  2. Go to Settings -> Shop
  3. In the Coupons guide, click Open Stripe
  4. Create your coupon or promotion code in Stripe
Stripe lets you configure:
  • Percentage discounts
  • Fixed amount discounts
  • One-time or reusable offers
  • Expiration dates and redemption limits

Allow coupons on a product

  1. Open the Pages tab
  2. Open a product’s settings
  3. Enable Discount Codes in checkout options
  4. Save the product
If discount codes are disabled on a product, Stripe coupons will not appear for that product’s checkout.

Best practices

  • Use promotion codes for marketing campaigns
  • Add expiration dates for limited offers
  • Test checkout before announcing a promotion
  • Keep product margins in mind before applying large discounts
